I kind of expect that there will be no significant changes tomorrow. But for anyone still interested, look for the update noon-ish, Pacific time, and emails shortly thereafter.

I took my money and let it ride on a Christmas-New Years Cruise on the Splendor so I'm sort of interested in whether the prices are going up or down. More importantly I have been watching the Splendor. I want it to still have that new ship smell when we get on board on December 21st. I just looked at the Marine Tracker and noticed the current sailing course./Users/lawdiver/Desktop/Screen Shot 2020-04-30 at 7.53.03 PM.png. Could not stop thinking that they have brought Capt Peter "Wrong Way" Peachfuzz on to command the Splendor for a while. /Users/lawdiver/Desktop/Unknown.jpeg

Somewhat disappointed that the graphics did not appear. I will have to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

This message board doesn't readily host images - you need a host with a lot of storage space for that - so you have to upload the image somewhere else with an Internet address. Either that, or you'd have to pull a rabbit out of your hat.

I'll be shocked if Regent lowers any fares - especially on a ship that still has that new ship smell - although maybe with all the virus cleaning going on, that's gone too.

oceania update

Last month, there were fare decreases in 2020, and then in 2021, in consecutive weeks.

Today, the fare decreases are in 2022; six trips on Marina and nine trips on Riviera.

You can now get an Oceania Suite (1000 sq ft) on Marina, Santiago to Buenos Aires, with Antarctica scenic cruising, for roughly 60% of the equivalent itinerary on Regent Voyager in a Cat H. Tempting.

crystal update

Unusually, there was a significant fare decrease on Endeavor.

https://www.crystalcruises.com/voyage/h ... n210219-17

On a Cat S2, it's down 17.2% (jcalc) and 27.6% overall. Another way to see Antarctica, and as is the case in the previous post, tempting.

No other significant fare changes - just the usual fares, here and there, that become available after being unavailable for a long time.

regent update

Post: # 2926Post drib »

It's still running, but I won't leave scuba diver in suspense until the very end - there are no fare changes yet after 280 trips checked.

And I'm still kind of annoyed that the description for this trip still reads "Icleand:"

Okay. Now I figured it out. My eyes autocorrected. Looked at it at least three or four times and went to the Regent site and still could not see the problem until now.

crystal ... something's missing

Post: # 2933Post drib »

... like the 2023 World Cruise.

And I also noticed several web pages that didn't have port fees shown as usual.

It could be temporary, so I'll check it again tomorrow.

======

2020.05.08: All 2023 itineraries are still gone from the Crystal web site.

======

2020.05.09. The 2023 web pages are back. I didn't see any differences in them insofar as dates and ports. I'll do a test fare update on them now and post again if there are any changes.

======

2020.05.10. There were no new fare changes, but I did notice that the new maiden voyage of Endeavor is now 100% unavailable, as are the next several voyages. Those all got lower fares recently. It could be that guests jumping at it as a bargain on a new ship, or it could be that this is Crystal's way of saying the new ship won't be ready by Felix Unger Day either.

trips w/insert: 34 total inserts: 204 total sql: 240

Big decreases in some categories - like B4, a lot of A1 to A4, and some PH3. So, if you are using Fare Compare, you won't find any in the default, which is B1 - select another category.
